The California Action Coalition (CAAC) was set as a key initiative in 2011. It is among the other state action coalitions set to ensure Americans can access quality care and nurses are practicing to their full potentials. CAAC is focused on easing students' transition to be nurses and provide motivation for the rest to complete the BSN program. In California, the action coalition conducted a survey to learn organizational priorities. For instance, nursing Universities in California assist in communications planning, project management, development, and fundraising advice, among other services. The CAAC is still set to invent new approaches and goals to advance the recommendations, thus improving the state of health in California. Workgroups are set to represent the CAAC recommendations, with each group identifying a goal they work towards. The initiatives propagated by the California Action Coalition aim at a goal of effecting long-term change. It focuses on increasing the number of nurses with degrees to 80%, providing leadership opportunities for nurses, and increasing collaboration
